IPCA & CHCNI Selects David Garrett to Lead Organization
Former senior executive of BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City brings extensive corporate and non-profit healthcare experience to new role

BOISE, ID - The Board of Directors of Idaho Primary Care Association (IPCA) and Community Health Center Network of Idaho (CHCNI) has named David Garrett as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Garrett brings more than 25 years of corporate executive and nonprofit healthcare experience to IPCA/CHCNI. Mr. Garrett replaces current CEO Yvonne Ketchum-Ward who is moving onto the next phase of her career after eight years of heading the organization.

The leadership, expertise and discipline David has demonstrated throughout his impressive career will help advance the mission of IPCA and CHCNI - to promote and support vibrant, effective community health centers in providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare to all Idahoans,” said Dr. Ted Epperly, Board Chair.
Mr. Garrett will be relocating from Kansas City, MO where he most recently served as Interim CEO of KC CARE Health Center and previously as a Vice President with BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City.

As an active contributor to his community, David has served on the boards of Ronald McDonald Charities of Greater Kansas, Jewish Family Services and Kansas City Health Commission. A graduate of Ohio University, Garrett holds a Master’s in Health Administration.
Idaho Primary Care Association (IPCA) has been the leading state advocate for community-based healthcare programs since 1982. The association plays a vital role in educating federal and state policymakers about issues relating to healthcare and the role of community health centers. IPCA provides training and technical assistance to Idaho’s health centers in the areas of health center operations, quality improvement, outreach and enrollment, workforce development, and network management. www.idahopca.org
