FREE Live Webinar from the Clinical Risk Management Program on behalf of HRSA
February 7 or 8, 2023
Suggested attendees: Corporate compliance staff, human resources, risk managers, QI/QA staff, and those responsible for managing health center policies and procedures
Health centers and free clinics must ensure effective implementation, satisfactory monitoring, and appropriate compliance with policies and procedures. Written policies are important to safeguard patients, staff, and the organization; to clarify expectations; and ensure program consistency and credibility.
In June 2022, the Writing and Implementing Effective Policies and Procedures (Part 1) webinar reviewed the basics of policy and procedure development, including what is the difference between a policy, procedure, and protocol; what information should be included in policies and procedures; and who from the health center should review and approve them. Now, we’re going a step further to recommend techniques, procedures, and methods that support effective policy and procedure implementation and monitoring.
Join us on February 7 or 8, 2023, when we will review elements to consider before, during, and after policy and procedure implementation; discuss how measures of effectiveness can be used to monitor for compliance; and provide best practice strategies for implementation and compliance. We will present case studies highlighting key strategies and include relevant resources and templates.
* There are no prerequisites for attending this webinar. Participants are encouraged to view Writing and Implementing Effective Policies and Procedures (Part 1) in advance to enhance your understanding of foundational concepts for developing policies and procedures.
