Good afternoon everyone,

ICHCA has a free virtual lunch and learn on apprenticeships coming up November 15 that we hope you'll attend (or pass along to those interested). Apprenticeship programs are a great way to support career pathways within an organization. North Idaho College offers registered apprenticeship programs in both Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting that help enhance the healthcare workforce while supporting the retention of employees. What’s more, the Idaho Department of Labor’s Idaho Launch program will cover 90% of NIC’s tuition costs for the related instruction portion of the apprenticeship program.

Attendees of this webinar will gain an understanding of the structure of NIC’s MA and DA apprenticeship programs, what to expect, commitments required, and knowledge of available funding opportunities. Come with questions!

When: Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 from 12:30-1:30 MST (11:30-12:30 PST).

Who: Any employee of a CHC who is interested in becoming a MA or DA apprentice, supervising an apprentice, or who would like a better understanding on how apprenticeships work. Current apprentices/supervisors or past apprentices/supervisors encouraged to attend as well! North Idaho College offers their instruction in person and online, so these programs are accessible across the state.

Learning objectives: After this webinar, attendees will understand what an apprenticeship is and who qualifies to become one. Attendees will also understand funding opportunities, requirements of the apprenticeship site, expectations of the apprentice, supervisor, proctor, instructor and sponsor.
