IPCA hosted this webinar by Dr. Suzanne Bailey, the Director of Integrated Care, from Cherokee Health Systems on June 19, 2019. This webinar provided an overview of strategies to prevent, identify, and address substance misuse in primary care using a multidisciplinary primary care approach. Techniques for prevention, screening and identification tools, and first-line evidence based practices reviewed. Strategies for success and lessons learned discussed.

Objectives

1. Utilize at least two strategies for identifying patients with substance use treatment needs, and utilize at least two strategies to engage patients in care.
2. Name and describe three evidence-based, behavioral health approaches to the treatment of substance use disorders in primary care settings.
