A message from Azara DRVS:
As many of you know, HRSA has recently announced they will be rolling out the much-anticipated UDS Modernization Initiative for the 2023 Reporting Year. (i.e. Reporting in early 2024 on calendar year 2023 results). As we understand things, this will include de-identified patient level detail submission of the data required for Tables PBZC (Zip Code Table), 3a, 3b, 4, 6a, 6b, and 7.
Over the past few years, Azara has been a participant, along with a number of our clients, in various pilots for UDS modernization and we have had an ongoing dialog with both HRSA stakeholders, health center clients and PCA’s/HCCN’s throughout. We are currently awaiting the release of the UDS+ Implementation Guide, which is expected sometime in August and plan to begin development and testing once we have the official specifications and test criteria.
Nearly 500 FQHC’s across the country count on Azara for their quality reporting and analytics and we are fully committed to assuring our clients the ability to electronically deliver their UDS results to HRSA via this new submission mechanism. While we do not have many more details at this time and are awaiting the same HRSA guidance that you are, we want to make it clear that we see UDS+ submission capability as a “must have” for the Azara DRVS platform to continue to meet the needs of our clients. We want all of you to know that Azara intends to make this part capability part of our “core” DRVS offering, which means subject to any unanticipated surprises, Azara will provide this functionality to DRVS clients at no additional charge. We will provide additional detail and guidance once we have seen and reviewed the Implementation Guide.
We have seen the process our clients use to prepare for UDS submission evolve and mature significantly over our 12+ year history and we look forward to assisting you as HRSA moves everyone into the next generation of UDS Reporting.
