SWIAHEC and ICHCA Honor Scholars Program Graduates

On Wednesday, April 26, ICHCA had the honor of celebrating scholars graduating from the Southwest Idaho Area Health Education (SWIAHEC) program. These individuals have gone above and beyond in their quest to provide care to underserved, underrepresented and rural patient populations. Through the Scholars program, they are able to partner with community clinics and gain valuable experience to further their education and careers. SWIAHEC is continuously seeking engagement from CHCs to bring these Scholars into their clinics. Clinics can work with the scholars to provide experiential learning opportunities that aid the clinics in their mission to better serve Idahoans.

Idaho AHECs are located throughout the state and provide opportunities for clinics to engage the future workforce in ways that can lead to rewarding careers with CHCs. AHECs also provide tailored continuing education credits (CECs) for primary care providers based on clinics needs.
