The Weitzman Institute is excited to offer an opportunity to engage in a national learning experience designed to support your clinic’s implementation of the Prescription for Play (P4P) program.
Prescription for Play
As a reminder, Prescription for Play (P4P) is a program delivered by primary care and pediatric providers during a routine well-child visit to promote play in children 18-36 months. The program offers free LEGO® DUPLO® bricks for care teams to distribute to their patients and their caregivers. The bricks and related educational material are used as prompts to engage caregivers around the benefits of play for development of emotional, cognitive, creative, social and physical skills.

The P4P Learning Collaborative will provide the opportunity for you and your team to engage in shared learning among the 20 participating organizations. This experience will enhance efforts to make the promotion of learning through play a standard part of pediatric primary care by embedding P4P into well child checks and use quality improvement concepts and skills with coaching support to systematically achieve implementation of P4P in well-child care.
