As we move closer to Value-Based Care – it is important to understand how coding will be affected. Capturing the most specific and descriptive diagnosis codes will be vital to accurately portray the patient encounter. In this session, you will learn about the health equity and why it is important, how risk adjustment and HCC coding will play a role, and about SDOH Z codes and CPT II codes, what they are, where to find them and the documentation requirements to use them. The aim of the presentation is to raise awareness of value-based payment and how it will impact coding.
