Hi everyone,
Thanks to those who attended June's O&E webinar. This month we had YHI and Idaho Voices for Children on to discuss the unwinding of the PHE and provide updates. Idaho Voices for Children is an advocacy organization and have very detailed knowledge of what's going on in the state. I have placed the webinar slides in the Cube for you to check out.
The key points are as follows:
- Out of the 153,837 Idaho Residents in Medicaid Protection, 92,404 have been processed.
- From there, 66,805 have been removed from Medicaid (55% no longer qualify, and 45% have been procedurally disenrolled)
- 25,599 still eligible
Idaho Voices for Children are looking for stories of patients who have barriers while navigating the renewal process. If you have stories your clinic is willing to share, please send those to me at ndavis@idahochc.org. We can pass these along to the larger coalition. Next week ICHCA leadership is meeting with DHW to express the struggles FQHCs are facing during this process.
