  • 1.  DHW REFERRAL TO YHI?

    HELLO ALL!

    Medicaid Protection FAQ   website states the following:

    Idahoans who are not eligible for Medicaid may purchase health insurance via the state-based insurance marketplace, Your Health Idaho. Coverage can be purchased at Your Health Idaho:

    • Within 60 days of losing Medicaid
    • Anytime during YHI's Open Enrollment Period.

    In addition, if we discontinue Medicaid, and we determine you may be eligible for a tax credit to help pay for health insurance through the state-based exchange, we will send a referral to Your Health Idaho, the Idaho state-based health insurance marketplace. Your Health Idaho may then contact you about your eligibility for the tax credit and how to enroll in health insurance.

    My question is, have any of you heard about a client getting that "referral contact" from YHI???   Is this really happening???

    I fear that the information is not getting from DHW to YHI...  I have had so many clients who have lost Medicaid think they have no other option.  

    TELL ME IF MY CLIENTS ARE THE ONLY ONES!!!

    Yes, they receive the email from YHI asking them to complete registration. To be fair it does not state that due to loss of Medicaid they may be eligible for YHI. It is really confusing for the consumer.
